I love to make bowls and to me they seem somewhat spiritual in nature. 
Here you will find everything from general purpose soup type bowls to more decorative bowls to display in that special place in your home.

SPECIALTY BOWLS

ZAKAR - REMEMBRANCE BOWLS
Zakar is a Hebrew word for remember.  These bowls were birthed out of Dick's desire to help people to remember the good things that God has done in their lives.  The principle is the same as when Joshua was instructed to take stones from the Jordan river and leave them as a reminder of the miracle of the water of the Jordan river stopping and allowing Israel to cross on dry ground.
Each bowl has  the words Zakar, Remember and Psalm 77:11 carved into the rim.  
Each bowl comes with instructions. 

SCARIFIED BOWLS
These bowl are thrown on the potter's wheel to start and left with very thick sides then Dick uses various tools to "scar" the sides of the bowl then he finishes the bowl without touching the scarred portion and stretching it out from the inside only.  
The idea behind these is that in our lives we are scarred and broken but when we allow God to become a part of who we are he takes the scars and those things that could have destroyed us and makes them a thing of individual beauty. So these bowls say I'm scarred yet beautiful thanks to God!

LOVEBIRD BOWLS
These lovely bowls are made on the wheel and  shaped into a heart then two small birds are attached to the rim. 
These bowls are reminiscent of the fact that our lives and relationships should always be based upon love, specifically God's love. 


DECORATIVE BOWLS
These bowls are decorative yet functional as well and will both add to your decor and serve a purpose.
